The short version

findarreddit runs entirely in your browser. Your Reddit session, drafts, leads, favorites and settings live in your browser's local extension storage. We operateno analytics, no trackers, no accounts, no marketing database. We can't see what you do with the extension.

What the extension stores (locally)

  • Your Reddit session cookie value — used to authenticate requests to Reddit's public JSON API on your behalf. Stored locally, never transmitted anywhere except to reddit.com itself.
  • Your AI provider key (OpenRouter or OpenAI) — only if you choose to configure one. Sent only to that provider when you generate a draft.
  • Extension data — drafts, scheduled posts, favorites, tracked comments, mention inboxes, deal feeds, karma snapshots and settings — all in chrome.storage.local on your machine.

What leaves your browser

  • reddit.com / old.reddit.com — read and write requests you initiate (search, scans, posts, comments). Writes are rate-limited and only happen when you click a send/submit button.
  • Your AI provider (openrouter.ai or api.openai.com) — the text you ask it to draft or improve. Only when AI features are used.
  • License server (findarreddit worker) — your license key is sent for verification at activation and periodically afterwards. The server stores only the key, its status and the purchase email. It receives nothing about your Reddit activity.
  • Websites you scan — Mention Finder fetches the sitemap and pages of the site you configure, to extract page titles. That's a plain read of public pages.

What we never do

  • We never sell, share or aggregate your data — there is no data to sell; it isn't sent to us.
  • We never read the content of pages you browse. The extension only activates on reddit.com and old.reddit.com.
  • We never post, comment, vote or subscribe on your behalf without an explicit click from you on that specific action.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We receive your email address and generate your license key — that's the entire commercial record.

Data deletion

Removing the extension deletes everything stored locally (Chrome deletes extension storage on removal). To delete your license record, email us from the purchase address.
